Its A Photoshoot

Every time your at Comerica Park and you check out the big screen you always see the players pictures before the at bat or for the starting lineup. Well this is how they are made. One player after another gets his turn. This is a video I came across earlier this year I just never posted it. Thanks to the Detroit Free Press for the video. Enjoy!

The Tigers Need A Hug

The Tigers suffered a 11-0 Shutout last night at Comerica Park. For the most part it was a very exciting game until the Josh Anderson error in Left Field blew the game open, from there it was all New York. Edwin Jackson again looked strong with 6 Innings pitched, allowing only 4 hits, 1 base on balls and added 4 K's. Keep in mind Jackson went 6 Innings of shutout baseball. Ryan Perry was wild as he walked two and allowed one hit. Four runs were scored off Perry while only 2 were Earned. Perry looked about as bad as he ever has all season. With this outing Perry's ERA jumps from 1.42 to 4.05. As you can tell by the score the bullpen woes didn't stop there. Nate Robinson (Our 7 Million Dollar Mop Up Man) came in and was terrible. He gave up 3 Hits, 4 Runs all earned, and 1 Base on Balls doing this while only pitching .1 innings. Next on the slab was Brandon Lyon, yet he didn't impress either. He finished giving up 2 hits, and 2 runs as well as 2 walks plus add in the Home Run he served up. Brandon Lyon is pitching so bad there going to start calling him Detroit Lyon pretty soon.

This was a classic 0-0 baseball game and the Tigers fell apart. You hate to see this happen yet you can't win them all. I'm again very pleased with Edwin Jackson again on the mound. Let's just hope the bullpen won't be our downfall again this season.

Sunday April 19th 2008, Detroit Tigers (6-5) Vs Seattle Mariners (8-4)

The Tigers will finish their series with the Mariners today at 4:10.

Its the rubber match of the series.

I'm really looking forward to the game because we'll get a chance to see Rick Porcello throw. Also the Tigers are facing Carlos Silva who the Tigers have tee'd off on in the past.

Right now Dave Dombrowski is looking like a genius with the Matt Joyce for Edwin Jackson deal. Jackson is looking great this season as he continues to get ahead of hitters.

Here's a link to the MLB Gameday Page. This will give you all the updates, weather and lineups.

Enjoy the game this Sunday I know I will, Time to fire up the grill and get the Brats going also don't forget to put the cold ones in the fridge.

Tigers Seem To Be In Rythm, 5-4 (OFF DAY)

Well after a few early losses the Tigers picked it up and find themselves at 5-4. They are tied with the Royals at the top of the AL Central. Today is an overall slow day for the Detroit Tigers but also well deserved. The Detroit Tigers will play tomorrow at 10:10pm vs the Seattle Mariners. It will be a late night game for most Tigers Fans not living in the west coast.

I'll be back tomorrow with the games preview. Until next time

Go Tigers
